Passivhaus Building Standard in Navarra Social Housing [Sep. 2019]

Summary

2018-2021

The Navarra Social Housing program, public housing under the Passivhaus standard, is promoted by the Government of Navarra, within a Housing Plan that responds to the growing demand for rental housing and, at the same time, promotes the sustainable and energy-efficient building. In total, 524 public housing units will be built, all of them on a rental basis, in different locations of the Foral Community. The project stands out because its construction allows it to be considered an Almost Null Consumption Building (EECN). At the same time, it seeks to promote social rent and energy efficiency, facilitate access to protected rental housing to young people or families with scarce resources, alleviate energy poverty, cope with the growing demand for leased real estate and satisfy the right to housing of all sectors of the population.
